The first battle of the day is already won when you leave the bed during the dawn.
After opening up the eyes the very first tendency is to check the phone, kindly resist , resist , resist. A gadget should not set the mood for your precious mornings because some happy ,sad or stressful message can make you feel accordingly. Let's not be the puppet in the hands of man's own invention. Your mind will suggest convincing reasons to check the phone first thing in morning like ,my work is such , I am a student I need to check on important info at earliest etc. The reasons could be genuine too. Just delay this phone checking for 1 - 2 hrs only so as to not to influence your mornings in an undesired way. Command your tech-free time with a vision. Refrain from a worrisome and overwhelming start of the day.
Rather , choose to smile . Yes! This should be the very first thing after opening your eyes in morning. Mere smiling ,even if it is deliberate and fake will activate the hormonal axis ( HPA axis - hypothalamus pituitary adrenal axis) in desired direction. In simple language , Smiling will give an instant and booster dose to happy hormones at the start of the day only. Because when we smile , our kidneys smiles, our heart becomes happy, our liver becomes joyful too, each cell of our body is rejuvenated with positive energy, we glow and bloom from inside. Exactly opposite happens when we are in anxiety, anger , stress, leading to irritable stomach ( IBS- irritable bowel syndrome) and hence the series of health issues set in. Nervous stomach affects the neuromuscular system and other systems of body in succession. Remedy is very simple, just start your day with happiness and see your life taking a flip for the right reasons.
Next morning ritual after smiling is to pay gratitude to the higher power, to God , to nature. Pay gratitude that you are alive to see the light of a new day unlike many souls who have bid goodbye to this world during their sleep only. Say thank you to Supreme power for getting new opportunities once again. As they say " Gratitude is the best attitude for all seasons of life." Be humble for all the good things in life and ignore the lackings and negativities. Whatever you focus on , grows.
Imagine a parent child relationship where a child keeps asking for new things and complaining for not having this or that. A parent out of love and affection gives into most of the demands but gradually it starts bothering the parent that even after fulfilling most of his / her demands my child is not learning to stay happy, rather he is turning more demanding and Still irritable. The parent will certainly change his ways to amend the child's temperament.
On the contrary there is another child who is always thankful for whatever his/ her parents are doing for him. He has every right to put up his wishes and desires infront of his parents but it should be a discussion , dialogue and a gentle negotiation. This kind of behaviorial display by the child will force the parents to take care of his needs and wishes even before the child asks for it. They will not mind giving him luxuries even beyond their capacities because the child is happy and thankful in every situation. Such is our relationship with God. Stay positive, happy and thankful in your prayers rather than opening up a new list of never ending wishes on daily basis and bribing the God in umpteen ways. Simplest form of prayer is to say humble thank you from depth of your heart.
Focus on whatever you have and abundance will start pouring in.
Rehearse daily to train your mind to concentrate only on positivity and hope. These days due to excess of social media and less of human involvement , the positivity , reality , empathy ,compassion are diminishing. These core human needs are limited to watsp messages only rather than being in practical use. Everyone is putting a very intellectual and meaningful status and DP but very few are actually living upto their own status. Just be simple. Before mere displaying infront of entire world ,practice good things first , so that rather than intentional display it becomes your unintentional behavior and hence a personality to which people look upto and they like to follow your real being.
Fill your day with more of thank yous and see the abundance happening very soon in your life.
