"Good Health"...is it a challenge??
Is having a pain - free body is called as being healthy??
In Hindi language health is called as "swaasthay" which actually means " "sw+ sth" means "swayam main sthit Hona".
To elaborate further it means that when you focus on your ownself, your own improvement then it leads to synchronization between your internal and outer dialogue. Achieving this state of mind along with pain free physical body is infact holistic health.
Science also supports the slogan -
" Medication and meditation together leads to healthy life."
Here medication may not necessarily be the pharmaceutical medicines . It could be your food too which is very much efficient in replacing the medicines. And a balanced and synced internal and outer display of oneself is meditation in its own.
To further simplify the concept of the complete and good health there are few fundamentals which can make this process of achieving holistic health( physical, mental, emotional, spiritual) very easy.
1) Return to nature- prakriti ki aur
Spending some time in lap of nature preferably the early morning time is the very first fundamental of attaining good health. Watch sunrise, listen to chirping birds, sound of wind and inhale the pure unpolluted air of divine mornings. Surrounding greenery act as eye - tonic which further boosts the release of happy harmones. If early morning routine doesn't suit your schedule then organize your evenings.
Silence is the best way to manage mind - traffic. Everyone knows that clear reflection can be seen only in still water. So to tackle the turbulence of mind sit in silence for some time and gradually you yourself will start sorting out your own problems.
3) laugh-
Research says one must smile 700 times a day and have a loud belly laugh 2-3 times a day.
It is scientifically proven that even fake laughter works as good as real laughter as it changes our brain chemistry instantly.
700 times a day means every 2 minutes we should smile. So find your reasons to smile regularly. Yes just find the reasons to smile. Even if you do not find appropriate reasons just laugh on silly things but do laugh .its effect is magical.
4) Food-
Take food as medicine otherwise you have to take medicines as food.
Just follow the basic principles of eating home cooked, less spicy , balanced food . In case of food please remember- " less is more".
Be careful about- what you eat, when you eat, how you eat.
While eating just focus on food , sit cross legged ( the ancient Indian way), eat with happy and relaxed mind enjoy each n every bite and chew well.
5)sleep-
Sleep hygiene means- sleep and get up at the same time, no gadgets 2 hrs before bed time,dinner 2-3 hrs prior to sleep, get rid of all the negative feelings before going to bed, pray n deep breath just prior to sleep, brush your teeth, do some deep breathing (2-5 min) or read a motivational or spiritual book.
6) karmas-
Remember the balancing theory of karmas. What you sow ,so shall you reap.Behave with others the way you expect from them to be with you.
Following these fundamental can create megashift in one's quality of life.
